I found this great tutorial on Pinterest ----> HERE
Love, Love it! So many open possibilities for bed sheets! I started with this robot theme for Sam, he loves Transformers, so that worked & I loved the bright colors! I got 2 yards, but should've gotten 2 1/2 to make the pillowcase. Though I made the pillowcase work with other scrap fabric I had. Next one will be with fire trucks as requested. :)

Pillow Case to Pencil Skirt Refashion
I don't have a before photo - which I wish I had, but when I spotted this great pillow case with the spades like pattern and hot pink thread at my local thrift store - I had to give it a whirl! The first thing that flashed into my head was a pencil skirt - it had to be a pencil skirt! And so after measuring, cutting and sewing - this is what my finished product looks like. It may not be super perfect for my first - but it works - here's hoping to many more.... (oh & excuse the wrinkles - it needs a final steam)

Clothes Pin Dress - Easy DIY!
I recently made a very cute Clothes Pin Dress getting the inspiration from the one my mother had. After tracing, cutting, sewing etc..which is the long way in this circumstance. I figured a short way to do it especially if you don't have an inspiration to follow physically. First go to the thrift store and buy a baby girl dress for $.25 cents, turn it inside out, sew the bottom, turn it inside out again and tada you've got yourself a very Cute, Easy DIY Clothes Pin Storage Dress! :)
the inspiration...
long way...
the $.25 cent baby girl dress before
the dress after - the short way :)
They both turned out really cute! Fun, Fun!

Hooded Towels
I wanted to share these cute towels I made for my son, nieces and nephews this past Christmas. I used regular towels with hand towels for the hood and scrap fabric for the appliques! They are a great size and will be in use for a while! :) Great for the lake & beach this summer!!

Sam's Fleece PJ Pants
What's nice about fleece is that it does not fray - so no need to sew edges :) I made these pj pants for Sam using one of his pj pants as a pattern this winter - he's already grown out of them :(

Easter Hat for my Niece
My sister asked me to make a hat for my niece for Easter - so I made her a small version of the Beach/Garden Summer hats I have been working on. I added a cute purple rosette to match her lilac dress and tada... they both love it! :)

Reversible Tote (Blue/Gold) - New Etsy Listing
One of my many totes has finally made it into my Etsy Shop. They come with a mini wallet with a pearl snap closure. I enjoy making these and hope many will enjoy them as well! :)
Refashioned Pink Sweater - New Etsy Listing
After seeing this cute soft pink acrylic sweater, I thought it would be great as a hat, neck warmer and fingerless gloves set! I added large 1 1/2 inch purple/pink fabric homemade buttons to both sides of the hat and used a contrasting purple/pink thread for sewing. The hat is 22" in circumference and fits a bit loose, not snug. The neck warmer is 18" long and 4" wide and has a pearl button snap closure. The fingerless gloves are 9" long and 5" wide at top that set from the bottom of the pinky to the middle of thumb. There is a 1/4 inch difference between the sewn edge of the gloves with the contrasting thread showing but does not effect the lengths. I think this 'one-of-a-kind' would make a cute fashionable set to someone who not only loves pink & purple but appreciates unique homemade items! :)

Sam's New Pillowcase
I've been meaning to make Sam a pillowcase for his pillow for a while now. Yea, I haven't found any for toddler pillows, so I grabbed some fabric and tada....
Front
He loves it - 'Mama, tractors and big trucks, WOW' :)
Back
I did run out of fabric since I had bought a quarter piece,
so I grabbed some denim and it worked just fine!

Cute Little Dress for a Cute Little Girl!
A friends little girl turned 3 recently and I made her this cute little dress that resembles a pillow case dress. What's great about it is that it can be worn as a tunic when she gets bigger. I also made a cute homemade Mickey Mouse Mousekatool card for her.
It was a fun project! :)
